That’s what the person said as I was explaining our Wood Ministry. We split, stack and deliver wood to those still using it for heating and cooking.
I love it because it’s unique. I love it because it meets a need. I love it because it’s a great bonding opportunity. I love it because it brings us into contact with people we might not have otherwise met. I love it because I see how much other people love it.
What: Wood cutting, splitting, stacking and delivery
Where: Wood Lot at 1011 Mt. Hermon Rd., Midlothian, VA 23114
When: 8am to noon on the 3rd Saturday of every month
Come for an hour. Come for all morning.
Yes, there’s a lot of testosterone around saws, axes and wood splitters, but it’s not exclusive to men. We’ve had women a part of this ministry as well!
So, put it on your calendar now, bring some gloves and bring a friend to be part of this unique ministry!
