2020 Vision FAQs
What is 2020 Vision?
The 2020 Vision Initiative is a plan of action that will call us to participate more sacrificially than ever before to transform lives through Jesus Christ. It will enable us to increase our staff, improve our Marketing and Connection Strategies and our Worship space and reduce our current debt by one third.
How much money are we trying to raise?
$500,000 by the year 2020.
How much should I give?
We ask that you pray about your role in God’s 2020 Vision for New Life – this will take faith! That is between you and God. We are not asking for equal gifts, but equal sacrifice. So, when you decide your level of participation, think in terms of sacrifice, not just in terms of amount.
Do I have to participate if I’m new to New Life?
Nobody has to participate, but we hope you would. Since giving is part of spiritual growth, we want you to grow. You can think of it another way too: in the same way someone sacrificed so we could create a seat for you, we want you to experience the joy of creating space for someone else.
Should I direct my regular giving to 2020 Vision?
No, your gift should be above and beyond your regular giving. Take time to prayerfully consider what additional sacrifice you and your family can make.
How do I make sure my 2020 Vision contributions are added to the initiative's funds?
Here’s what you need to know:
- When making 2020 Vision contributions online: Choose the fund named 2020 VISION.
When making 2020 Vision contributions with cash: Provide your name and address, and write 2020 VISION on the envelope each time you make a pledge installment.
- When making 2020 Vision contributions with online banking or personal checks: Include 2020 VISION on the check memo line each time you make a pledge installment. If you’d like to split a contribution between funds, include the designated amount for each fund. For example, a $100 contribution designating $75 to GENERAL FUND and $25 to 2020 VISION.
Do I have to give everything at once or over time?
You decide. You can give your gift weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually – whatever works best for you, online or in service.
Is there a way for me to give non-cash gifts?
Yes. We are more than willing to accept gifts of stocks, investments, personal property and more.
