Mission Day 3

What a difference a day makes! Today, we were really able to see the fruits of our labor as we began to actually lay new flooring down in Mr. Cecil's kitchen. His grandson was also there to lend a hand, which we all appreciated. Outside, half of the debris that was in the backyard was loaded up in the trailer to be hauled away. Most of the painting of the bottom part of the house is complete. The best part is the joy and pride we see Mr. Cecil has for his home as it transforms to what he has wanted for a long time.

Up at the church the conduit wiring continues. Little Vine church has waited for years to be able to use this structure for community events. It's a big task and our New Life team is working hard to get this done.  To show their appreciation for all we have done to help the community we were blessed with grilled hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixin's as well as three home made pies and cobblers!!!! Wow, were we surprised and touched by their hospitality.

Kid's Club continues to serve the local children through games, crafts, and Bible stories. The children learned about John 8:12, the light of Christ, and were thrilled to receive glow sticks when they went home. We look forward to tomorrow as the children will be coming to our location to perform some songs as we celebrate our week with Experience Mission.
