So excited to be part of New Life church! Today was amazing. Started my morning getting to know some our church friends better as we cleaned the Home Again shelter. However, I love serving with kids and today I got to spend the afternoon with tweens and teens that have been abused and/or having difficulty living in their homes and as a result live at United Methodist Family Services. Those serving there today hosted a "paint night" with these children and their staffers. All but three participated and those that did were engages the entires time. The children did a great job. There were some amazing artists in the group too! My favorite part was that for an hour today, they were normal kids. They genuinely seemed happy we were there and they LOVED creating their snowman. So glad I got to experience there joy.
