Mike Maxwell: Pastor
Mike has been blessed to be a pastor for over 18 years. After serving churches in Kentucky, Lynchburg and Northern Virginia, Mike and his family have returned to their hometown of Richmond.
A graduate of Monacan High School and James Madison University, Mike went on to graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky.
He is married to his college sweetheart, Maria, and they have two children, Benjamin and Zoe.
Mike's favorite pastimes include watching or playing all sports, home projects, spy movies, reading and hanging out with his family.
Corinne Campbell: Office Manager
Corinne, a native of the Richmond/Powhatan area has been instrumental in keeping the daily operations of New Life running for over 11 years.
In her spare time, she loves planning and doing home improvement projects and landscaping. When she is not in the middle of a project, she likes spending time by the lake, being with friends, watching football, and dancing.
Phoenecia Hill: Youth Director
Phoenecia "Neci" Hill is a native of Richmond, VA and has over 12 years of experience mentoring youth and students. She is passionate about helping them become leaders in all areas of their lives.
She has a Bachelor of Science from VCU in Mass Communications, Broadcast Journalism as well as a Master of Public Administration from Regent University with a concentration in Non-Profit Management and Faith Based Organizations.
Neci is outgoing, creative, and loves the Lord! In her spare time she enjoys Latin dancing, traveling, cultural and music festivals, and spending time with close friends and family.
Marybeth Essex: Preschool Director
Marybeth has been an educator for over twenty years, teaching preschool - high school. Growing up in Northern Virginia, she then attended and graduated from James Madison University with a degree in English and Education.
She and her husband, Jay, have two wonderful teenagers, Megan and Sam, who keep them on the go with baseball and horseback riding. Marybeth enjoys: hiking, spending time at the beach, and traveling.
Erin Perry: Nursery Director
Erin, a long time Florida girl, graduated from Florida Southern College with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Social Services. She married her high school sweetheart, David. They have three children, twin girls Maegan and Ella, who are five years old and their newest addition, Jackson.
Erin loves to read and do crafts. She enjoys family day trips around Virginia and finding new, fun things to do.
In addition to being the Nursery Director, Erin is also the co-coordinator of the MOPS group.
Trent Holden: Discipleship Director
Trent, a student at Union Presbyterian Seminary, is currently working on his Masters of Divinity, and plans to become an ordained pastor.
Although he moved to Richmond from Indianapolis, Indiana, where he served as a youth director for several years; Trent is originally from Chillicothe, Ohio, where he spent his young years growing up on a farm.
During his down time, Trent enjoys watching movies and doing his own thing.
Isabelle Sullivan: Connections Director
Born in Washington, D.C. to immigrant parents, Isabelle made her way down to Richmond by attending Virginia Commonwealth University and graduating with a Master's Degree in Education.
Isabelle enjoys helping people discover and connect their gifts and talents with service. She is married to her college sweetheart, Joe, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Gabby and Melina.
In addition to speaking fluent french, she enjoys scrap-booking, the beach and animals.
Victor Neal: Worship Leader
Victor, a Chesapeake native, has been blessed to serve as a Worship Leader for over 6 years. As he grew up in the church, he started leading worship in his youth group as a teenager.
He loves to spend time with his wonderful wife, Erin, and sons, Brady and Milo. Victor also enjoys playing the guitar, singing, listening to music, reading and going to the movies.
Ashley Pride: Children and Family Ministry Director
Ashley Pride was born and raised in the local Richmond/Henrico area. Her educational background is in early childhood education and child development. She grew up going to church and found much joy as she started teaching Sunday school to elementary aged kids as a teenager. She has been serving in Children & Family Ministries for over 10 years. Ashley has a passion for finding new and creative ways to get children excited about God. In her spare time she loves spending time with family, her husband Nelson, son Nolan and enjoys music, sports and shopping.
