Church-wide SERVE Weekend
Many Options To SERVE Throughout RVA on October 17 & 18!
SERVE together during Worship on October 19!
Stay for a Potluck Lunch! Entree provided, bring a side/dessert to share!
This year we are once again coming together to provide Thankgivings bags for CCHASM! Sign up for the food items you will donate to the church. Food donations can be dropped off at New Life UMC (900 Old Hundred Rd) inside or in the Faith in Action bin in front of the double doors between now and October 12. We can only accept the specific items (and sizes) listed and we need the exact quantities to reach our goal of packing 150 bags for CCHASM! In addition we will pack 20 bags for students at our local elementary school that are also in need this holiday season!
Don't forget to join us during service at 10am on Sunday, October 19 as we pack the bags together!

October 17: Belmont Community Resource Services
Wear your New Life SERVES tshirt and sign up to volunteer your time with our community partner Belmont Community Resource Services. Various volunteer opportunities to help with their food pantry and clothing closet in the morning.
October 18: Opportunities throughout RVA
This day is focused on sustainable ways to serve our neighbors. Feel free to serve an any capacity that you feel lead to. Wear your New Life SERVES shirts and take pictures to share if you are able (email pictures to jessica.fenner@newlifeumc.org)
Need ideas?
Reach out to someone that is unsheltered or on the street looking for help. Talk to them and find out their story. Connect them with resources if desired. You can also consider putting together an emergency bag to donate as you see someone in need.
